Concordia University, Nebraska is primarily a residential campus, which means most of our students live right here. That’s part of what makes our community so vibrant. Dorms and Dining Halls close for the following breaks during the year. All residents must leave campus during these periods.

Residents are expected to check out with their RA before they leave campus for breaks. If you are an athlete who has competitions during the breaks, your coach will give you information about housing and meals.
Requests for exceptions to stay late or return early from breaks must be submitted to the Student Life Office at least two weeks prior to the break and may include a $50/night charge.
All full-time undergraduate students are required to live on campus unless they meet one or more of the following off-campus eligibility requirements.
All requests to live off campus for any other reason require an exception to this policy.
Exceptions to the On-Campus Residence Requirement are granted due to unusual circumstances that would not be common to other students (for example, medical needs or unique family situations). Financial need is not a circumstance that qualifies for off-campus exception.
Requests for exceptions must be submitted in writing to the Vice President for Student Affairs. Guidelines for these requests are available in the Student Life Office. Requests based on medical need must meet the requirements of an accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act and are processed through Disability Support Services.
Students allowed to live off campus recognize the privilege may be revoked should circumstances change. Any violation of the Student Code of Conduct may also result in this exception and privilege being revoked and may require the student in violation to move on campus. Falsifying information, choosing to reside off-campus without permission, and/or non-compliance with the guidelines allowing the exception to live off-campus may result in disciplinary consequences to the student, including but not limited to, being assessed the full room and board rate.
The University's scholarship and grant programs are generally designed to assist students with tuition, room and board. Therefore, students who request an exception to the On-Campus Residence Requirement and are approved will have a $2000 reduction in their annual university financial aid offer. Federal financial aid sources will not be reduced. Please note that this shows up on the bill as a $1000/semester fee.
Students eligible to live off campus for the reasons listed in the On-Campus Residence Requirement above are not subject to the fee.

April 15 - Early Housing Assignments: Any students who have their housing contract completed by April 15 will be housed by April 30.

After June 1 – Students who submit housing contracts after June 1 will be housed as soon as we are able to find good roommate matches and housing locations. Please note this can sometimes take a couple of weeks as we may need to wait for more contracts to come in to find a good fit. Is there internet in the dorm rooms? Is there wireless internet available on campus?
There are high-speed internet connections in each room for each roommate. Students can use an Ethernet cord to connect to the internet or connect to the wireless network.
Cable TV is available in the residence rooms of the residence halls. This is a streaming service and can be accessed on any computer or device with an internet connection on campus. For help with connecting to cable and/or troubleshooting issues with your cable connection, please visit the following link.
Rooms are furnished with curtains and a bed, dresser, desk, chair and closet for each resident. Apartments in Jonathan Hall include furnishings for a living area and kitchen including a full-size stove and refrigerator. Microwaves are allowed in Jonathan apartments, but are not provided by the university.
What does it cost to do laundry?
Laundry costs $1.50 to wash a load and $1.50 to dry. (The price is determined by our vendor and subject to change.) Payments for laundry can be made with quarters or through the PayRange mobile app.
What do students often need or like to have in their room?
NEW THIS YEAR! – All regular residence hall rooms will be supplied with a combination microwave/mini-fridge unit! Because these are provided, personal mini-fridges or microwaves will not be allowed.

With the majority of Concordia's students living on campus, there is always something going on both during the week and on the weekends. Many of our students come from out of state, meaning they stick around during the weekends. The Student Activities Council regularly schedules fun activities and events like concerts, comedic performances, dances and much more.
We believe the best way to get the Concordia experience is to visit our supportive and fun campus. We'd love to design a personalized in-person or virtual visit for you and your family, where you can meet with professors, potential coaches, current students and the financial aid office.
